Poor Antonio the shoemaker! Overnight his fortunes have turned, and now the larder is empty. He has only enough leather to make one more pair of shoes. What are he and his wife, Bettina, to do?

Then someone begins sneaking into Antonio’s workshop at night and making beautiful shoes for him to sell. The customers are so delighted they pay double. A miracle!
