Here is a delightful retelling is the classic story of a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster who join forces when their masters decide they have grown too old to be useful. Running away, the animals meet on the road and resolve to go to Bremen-Town and become street musicians, braying, barking, meowing, and crowing in concert. On the way they find a cozy cabin, but there are robbers inside. How can the four friends scare away the robbers and have the cabin for themselves?
